Eagles Resume CCC Play on the Road

KIRKLAND, Wash. - After taking a brief break for the Christmas holiday the Northwest U men and women were back on campus and practicing for Cascade Conference games this week. The Eagles travel to Oregon and Idaho this week for games with Eastern Oregon and the College of Idaho.

Wednesday night finds the teams in La Grande, Ore., as they face Eastern Oregon in a CCC doubleheader in Quinn Coliseum. The ladies start things off at 5:30 p.m., as they play a Mountaineer team that is currently in fourth place in the CCC with a 3-1 record while the Eagles are in 7th with a 2-3 league mark. There's a three-way tie for first as Southern Oregon, Warner Pacific and Oregon Tech all have a 4-0 record.

The men then take to the Quinn court at 7:30 p.m., to face an EOU team that is 2-2 in league play and tied for fourth
while the Eagles are 2-3 and in a 3-way tie for sixth with Evergreen and Corban in conference play.


Then, on New Year's Eve, December 31, the NU women will be in Caldwell for their game with the College of Idaho. C of I is 1-3 on the season and in 8th place in the conference. Game time is 4:30 Pacific Time as the Coyotes campus is in the Mountain time zone and one hour ahead.

For the men, the College of Idaho comes into the game tied with Eastern Oregon for fourth place in the league with a 2-2 CCC mark. The Yotes are just returning from Salt Lake City where the played Utah of the PAC12 in an exhibition game on Monday night.
