Ashland, Ore. – Northwest University (3-5-3, 2-4-2 CCC) found themselves out outclassed by No. 24 Southern Oregon University (11-2-1, 8-0-1 CCC) on Friday evening. The Raiders, who currently lead the conference and are ranked 24th in the nation, beat the Eagles 5-0.

The Eagles struggled to find their shots throughout the game. Alex Ballard attempted a team-high two shots, of the mere three shots in the game for the Eagles.

Five different players scored for the Raiders. Esteban Castaneda scored in the 2nd minute, and Carlos Magana, Zak Woolley, and Brendan Allen scored the three other goals in the first half. Gonzalo Garcia added the fifth and final goal for the Raiders.

Northwest head coach Gary McIntosh commented, "Southern Oregon is a very good team, and they came at us right from the beginning. We did not respond well to their pressure, which forced us to change our game.  Although it was a tough day today, we get to play tomorrow, and will be our focus."
