Northwest had huge advantages in points off turnovers, second chance points, and points in the paint. The Eagles only gave up 12 points in the paint for the entire game, scoring 56 points in the paint themselves. A 24-rebound advantage helped as well, allowing them to score 28 second chance points.
Â
A 30-10 run late in the first half put the Eagles on top by 21 going into the second half. They never looked back from that lead, pouring in 51 points in the second half alone.

Northwest head coach
Jeff Drinkwine commented, "Tonight was a test to see how we will respond playing back-to-back nights. We were tested early, and our young guys came in and gave us a spark. It was a great learning experience for us this weekend."
