Ashland, Ore. – Northwest University (14-13, 10-8 CCC) lost in five sets to No. 10 Southern Oregon (23-2, 16-2 CCC). They had beat them previously this season at home but were unable to find the same success in their away game.

Northwest's
Sarah Warner had a standout game, with 16 kills, three aces, and eight digs.
Courteney Carr also had quite a night setting up her teammates, seizing 45 assists in the game.
Audrey Saelens and
Keann White had great defensive nights as well, with eight and six blocks, respectively.

After dropping the first set (25-27), the Eagles came back to beat the Raiders in the second (25-21). Southern Oregon won the next set (25-21), and the Eagles again tied up the game (25-19). In the final set, a 5-1 run from the Raiders put the last nail in the coffin for a disappointed Eagle squad.

Northwest head coach
Steve Bain remarked, "Southern Oregon has a lot of weapons, and their ability to score in transition was enough to turn the match in their favor. Our ladies showed a lot of grit, though, especially given the tough loss we experienced last night.  Even though we only have two regular season matches remaining, this group believes they can continue to improve, and they will value each opportunity they get."
