Kirkland, Wash. – Northwest University (2-4) struggled against Rocky Mountain College (4-1), losing 78-58 on Saturday night.
Northwest held a 16-15 lead after the first quarter but allowed the Bears to score 24 points in the second quarter, resulting in an 11-point deficit going into the second half. The Eagles clawed back a bit in the third quarter but again gave up over 20 points in the fourth quarter, which the Eagles could not overcome.
Miranda Langenhorst, Lexi Biggerstaff, and Hayden Craig made the most points for the Eagles, with 10 apiece, and Mariah Stacona added five assists.
The Eagles went 2-19 from deep, however, and allowed 24 points and 9 rebounds from Rocky Mountain's Alecia Chamberlin.
