Kirkland, Wash. – Northwest University (4-12, 1-5 CCC) lost to Corban University (8-6, 2-2 CCC) after a slow first quarter. The final score was 79-66.
Â
Grace Meza, Miranda Langenhorst, and Andie Kristinat all had double-digit scoring games, combining for 39 points in the game. Langenhorst also added nine rebounds.
Â
Corban jumped out to an early 18-4 lead, ending the first quarter up 24-13. The Eagles fought back in the next two quarters, tying the game up three separate times in the third quarter. They never took the lead, however, and ended the third quarter down by five. This prompted a 23-point fourth quarter from the Warriors, who never looked back. A big difference in this game was points in the paint, as the Warriors scored 40 to the Eagles' 24.
Â
Big news from this game: Mariah Stacona, who returned tonight from an injury, surpassed 1,000 career points midway through the second quarter after she stole the ball and made a fast break layup.

Northwest head coach
Ken Crawford commented, "This was a tough loss tonight. We continue to grow and gain experience. Learning how to play with consistency at important parts of the game is our next step!"
