Forest Grove, Ore. – Northwest University (3-8) lost to Pacific University (3-4) on Friday night with a score of 71-83.
Miranda Langenhorst made 15 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles, and Livi Lindsey threw in 10 points as well.
The Boxers came out swinging to start the game, going up 45-28 at the half. The Eagles brought it within two points with five minutes left in the game but were unable to stop Pacific's offensive proficiency. Pacific finished the game on a 15-5 run.
The Boxers were led by Liana Tanaka, who scored 20 points. Four other Pacific players scored in double figures.
Northwest head coach
Ken Crawford commented, "For the second game in a row, we found ourselves behind double digits at the start of the game. However, unlike Tuesday night, we were not able to overcome it. We came within four points but then went cold. Our team continues to learn and to get better! We now have a quick turnaround to play Pacific Lutheran University at the Kristi Brodin Pavilion tomorrow night at 7 pm."
