Salem, Ore. – Northwest University (1-3-1, 0-2-0 CCC) lost a first half lead against No. 22 Corban University (5-1-0, 2-0-0 CCC), ending the game with a 2-1 loss in extra time.

Northwest goalkeeper Agazi Birkner had an impressive outing with 10 saves for the team. The Eagles started the scoring off with a 27th minute goal by Titus Nickson. The goal came off a corner kick from Trent Siedenburg.

In the last few minutes of regulation, Corban tied the game with a goal from Alex Segovia. In extra time, Corban forced the issue with 9 shots, eventually getting one in the back of the net in the 105th minute to end the game.

The Eagles had a combined 18 shots in the game but were unable to match Corban's impressive onslaught of 32 shots.
Northwest head coach Gary McIntosh remarked, "We are still not back to full strength, but everyone has stepped up.  Today we played well and to not find the second goal in regulation was disappointing for us. We did a good job of pressuring today, and this jump-starts our offense.  It was disappointing for the guys to lose this game when they all gave everything they could. I'm proud of the team today and look forward to preparing for our first home conference game."
