Kirkland, Wash. – Northwest University (2-3-2, 1-2-1 CCC) tied Warner Pacific University (3-4-1, 1-1-1 CCC) with two goals apiece.
Â
The Eagles had a rough first half, allowing two goals from the Knights (in the 10
th and 34
th minutes). They ramped up the energy, passion, and execution in the second half, however, coming out with a quick goal from
Trent Siedenburg off a beautiful cross from
Leon Bormann in the 47
th minute. Later in the half, striker
Jordan Travis scored off a penalty kick in the 78
th minute. Neither team managed to find the back of the net during extra time, so the game ended in a tightly contested draw.
Â
The game was a physical one, with 11 yellow cards handed out in total. Warner Pacific's Octavio Hermosillo was ejected in the last minute of the first extra time period.

Northwest head coach
Gary McIntosh remarked, "Our first half was not our best. We did not compete and made some mistakes that cost us. The second half was a completely different story as we took the game to them. We were much better in the second half in all aspects of the game, and we were rewarded two goals for our efforts. Now we need to make sure going forward we show up and compete the entire game."Â
