SPOKANE, Wash. – Northwest University men's soccer (1-0-1, overall) fought for the full 110 minutes against the Whitworth University Pirates (0-3-1, overall). Neither team managed to get the ball in the back of the net as the game ended in a scoreless draw.

Agazi Birkner split the goalkeeping duties, with a total of four saves between the two of them.

Whitworth substitute Zanskar Blair made the Northwest goalkeepers work hard, with a team-leading 2 shots on goal.

Gary McIntosh explained, "I am extremely proud of the team today. Whitworth is a very good team, and we knew we had to be disciplined defensively. The guys just dug in and did a great job working together. We created a few opportunities that we should have done better with, but that is part of the learning process. This team is committed to playing for each other and giving their all every minute."
