Eagles Roll to 3-0

KIRKLAND – Northwest improved to 3-0 on the season with a 125-73 shelling of Northwest Indian Friday in the Northwest Classic.

Five Eagles reached double figures in scoring, led by Hussayn Ford's double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Cesar Sandoval and Tre Newman added 18 each, and Christian Hakilimali and Dejwan Walker contributed 14 apiece. All 11 available players put points on the board.

"Tonight, we were able to execute and build on things we've been emphasizing in practice," said NU Head Coach Jeff Drinkwine. "It was good to see everyone get a chance to play and get some in-game repetitions."

Walker also led with six assists and three steals.

The Eagles led from start to finish, scoring the first 11 points of the game. Ford buried a jumper for a 50-16 lead–NU's largest of the first half–with 4:04 remaining.

Northwest led 54-23 at the half.

The lead peaked at 53 points, 105-52, on a Ford layup with 6:12 to go.
