ASHLAND, Ore. – Northwest struggled with its shooting touch Saturday, falling to Southern Oregon, 59-42.

The Eagles shot 26.2 percent (17-65) from the field, including 2-14 from three-point range (14.3 percent).

"It was a tough night for the Lady Eagles," said NU Head Coach
Ken Crawford. "Occasionally, it happens where you can't hit a shot, and tonight was that night. Southern Oregon played a good game and it was competitive the whole way. Now we get to regroup and get ready to play at home next weekend. We are looking forward to playing in front of the Eagles' Nest!"

Lexi Biggerstaff led the Eagles with 10 points.
Maya DuChesne and Livi Lindsey added nine apiece, while Sam Van Loo had eight points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Dominique Harding and Syd'Nee Fryar paced SOU with 11 points each, with Fryer hauling in 18 rebounds.

Biggerstaff and DuChesne gave the Eagles a pair of early leads, but the Raiders grabbed the lead for good midway through the first quarter. Despite leading for most of the game, SOU didn't open a 10-point advantage until early in the third quarter and did not maintain a double-digit lead until the end of the third quarter.

With the loss, the Eagles dropped to 7-16 overall and 5-8 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.NU returns home next weekend to take on Multnomah Friday and Warner Pacific Saturday in a pair of 5:30 p.m. games.
