GILBERT, Ariz. – Park used big innings to score a pair of wins against Northwest Sunday, 8-5 and 15-1.

"We're going to get back home and work on a lot of things this week and try to be presentable within the conference," said NU Head Coach

Park scored six runs in the fourth inning to seal the win in the opener, but the Eagles battled throughout the game.
Â
Northwest took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when
Jordan Dippel doubled and scored on a two-out double by
Jessica Nunes.
Â
Park scored twice in the first for a 2-1 lead, but the Eagles tied the score in the third inning.
Ashley Oswald doubled and came around on an error.
Â
After Park went ahead 8-2, NU scored three runs in the fifth.
Nicola Fish doubled to put runners at second and third, and Nunes singled home
Sam Parisio and two runs scored on a
Palena Gomes triple.

The Eagles had nine hits in the game, led by Nunes with three and Fish with two doubles. Parisio also had a hit.

Rachel Hawley went the distance, allowing two earned runs while striking out three.

Park scored five runs in the first and two in the second to start the second game with a 7-0 lead. Northwest got one back in the third inning when Parisio doubled and later scored on a double steal attempt.

NU finished the game with five hits. Dippel, Gomes, and
Sammi Caron had singles to go with doubles by
Ashley Oswald and Parisio.

The Eagles return to action Friday and Saturday with doubleheaders at Warner Pacific, starting at 1 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.
