COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – Northwest put together its best defensive game of the season, and all seven available players for NU scored in a 78-43 win over Walla Walla Friday afternoon.

NU held the Wolves to 30 percent shooting and forced 18 turnovers.

After falling behind 4-2 early in the game, Northwest scored nine unanswered points and later closed out the half on a 17-6 run to take a 42-22 lead at intermission.
Dejwan Walker and
Kelvin Omojola had two three-pointers apiece in the latter run.

Northwest scored the first eight points of the second half to stoke the lead to 50-22, and the Eagles were never threatened from there.
Colton Langstraat posted a three-point play with 53 seconds to go for the final and largest margin of the game.

Hussayn Ford and Ryan Ricks matched each other with 19 points and nine rebounds apiece. Omojola added 12 points.

"We thought the guys did a good job focusing and being prepared for our game," said NU Head Coach
Jeff Drinkwine. "Because the game was in the early afternoon, our routine was changed a bit. The team responded well. It was nice to see our bench produce today. Tomorrow will be another big challenge for us as we close out the regular season."

The Eagles carry an 18-10 overall and 13-6 Cascade Collegiate Conference mark into the 9:30 p.m. contest Saturday. It will be the last regular-season game for the league, with four other games starting at 7:30 p.m.
