EUGENE, Ore. – Women's basketball season ended for Northwest Tuesday in the Cascade Collegiate Conference quarterfinals with a 90-67 loss at top-seeded Northwest Christian.

Northwest led for a portion of the first quarter as Livi Lindsey drew first blood with a three-pointer. The Eagles maxed out their lead at 12-4 on a Sam Van Loo basket with 5:58 to play.

From there, the Beacons went on a 16-4 run to take a 20-16 lead into the second quarter.

Northwest, with baskets from Ellesse FitzGerald and
Kim Weden, was able to get within a point on two occasions in the second quarter but NCU dashed off an 11-0 run to take a 33-21 lead.

NU trailed at the half, 46-31, and NUC led 70-45 going into the final quarter.

"Northwest Christian is very consistent and has lots of firepower," said NU Head Coach
Ken Crawford. "We were able to play with them the first and fourth quarter but let the second and third get away from us. It's going to be a fun offseason. Thanks to all the Eagle fans!"

Lindsey led the Eagles with 20 points and five steals with Lexi Biggerstaff scoring 11 points to go with nine rebounds.
Maya DuChesne handed out four assists.

The game was the last contest in the NU uniform for seniors Deja Andrades, Jackie Bento and Lexi Biggerstaff. Bento had a basket and Andrades contributed with a rebound.

Northwest ends the season at 10-21.
