CALDWELL, Idaho – Northwest took No. 15 College of Idaho to extra innings before losing 4-3 in the first game and 10-2 in the final game of the series Saturday.

"We're working through a lot of adversity right now, and we understand the roles each of us has to play and work through," said NU Head Coach
Pam Fink. "I feel like I'm getting their best effort, and that means a lot. Win or lose, these ladies are representing Northwest very well."

CI broke out to a 3-0 lead in the first game before the Eagles tied the game in the sixth inning.
Jessica Nunes drove in two runs on her third home run of the series to make it 3-2.
Nicola Fish singled, and pinch-runner
Rachel Hawley scored on an error.

The Yotes scored in the bottom of the eighth after an out call was overturned, prolonging the inning.Â

Hawley was the hard-luck losing pitcher, going 7.2 innings with one earned run.

Northwest had six hits, including three by
Ashley Oswald. Nunes, Fish, and
Alexis Contreras all had singles.

Contreras had a sacrifice fly in the third, and Nunes singled and scored in the fifth on a ground out by
Palena Gomes.Â

Nalomeli Memea had singles for the Eagles.

NU returns to action Tuesday at British Columbia in a 3 p.m. doubleheader.
