KIRKLAND – Northwest responded to an Evergreen State rally and came away with a 3-2 win on Saturday.

Olivia Morris had a goal and an assist in the game and
Gracie VanAssche got the game-winner in the 84th minute.

After a scoreless first half, Morris scored with an assist from
Anna Lau in the 61st minute.

Liv Lagerquist got key touches before
Elizabeth Moretti put the Eagles on top 2-0 in the congested box in the 65th minute.

Brienna Dell scored goals in the 76th and 81st minutes to tie the score for ESC.

Callie Wright passed to VanAssche, who put a shot off the near post and into the net for the winner.

"We did a great job of possessing the ball today, and worked hard to break down Evergreen who defended resolutely," said NU Head Coach
Bryan Chud. "We weren't happy with the way we allowed them back into the match but deserved the win over the course of the match. We'll refocus now and prepare for our final regular-season games."

Northwest launched 25 shots for the game, including eight by
Callie Wright and five by
Claire Jo Diede. Wright led the Eagles with four shots on goal. Diede had two shots on goal with Moretti,
Maya Lewis,
Kayla Soderstrom, Morris,
Halley Marschall, and VanAssche getting one each.

The Eagles head into the final week of the regular season at 7-6-3 overall and 6-2-2- in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. NU hosts Eastern Oregon and the College of Idaho next weekend.
