SALEM, Ore. – Northwest got back to its winning ways with a 74-60 win over Embry-Riddle in the Corban Classic on Friday.

Sam VanLoo posted double-doubles in the win, and NU got scoring from 11 Eagles.
 
"Another great team win and learning experience for us tonight," said NU Head Coach 
Ken Crawford. "Embry-Riddle played very hard,  and we were able to withstand their pressure. Now we need to be ready to go in 24 hours and take on Pacific Union."
 
Meza scored 17 points, including three three-pointers and added 11 rebounds for a career high. VanLoo did all of her scoring inside for 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. VanLoo also blocked three shots.
 
Maya DuChesne was busy with seven assists.
 
The Eagles trailed early in the first quarter but finished that period on a 15-5 run to take a 19-11 lead into the second quarter.
 
Maria Arroyo Sanchez knocked down a jumper with 3:14 remaining in the first half for NU's biggest lead, 35-17.
 
The 3-1 Eagles take on Pacific Union at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Beacon Classic in Eugene.
