PORTLAND – Northwest put up 102 points on tired legs but came up on the short end at Multnomah on Saturday, 110-102.

Short-handed and playing less than 24 hours after an overtime contest, the Eagles shot 54 percent from the field and racked up 15 three-pointers.

The Eagles got career highs in scoring from
Devante Powell (20),
Kalai Akaka (18), and AJ Chappell (16).
Daniel Sharpe added 17, followed by
Connor Drinkwine with 16 and
Rayvaughn Bolton with 10.

Bolton led with seven rebounds and three steals, while Powell led the assists category with five.

"We played with a lot of heart and I think this will be an experience that is going to make us stronger moving forward," said NU Head Coach
Jeff Drinkwine. "I was proud of our guys this weekend. I'm excited to see how we're going to be when we get everybody back. Kalai and AJ had phenomenal games tonight."
The Eagles are 5-5 overall and 2-3 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. NU is scheduled to play a 2 p.m. exhibition game at Seattle University on Wednesday.
