"This was a competitive opportunity that 72 hours ago, we didn't know we'd have," said NU Head Coach Steven Bain. "I thought both teams showed terrific energy to show up and be competitive. We came to play, and I know our team enjoyed the chance to play instead of practice. We're grateful to CBU reaching out to us and giving us this opportunity in our gym."
Â
The Eagles play an intrasquad match Friday at 5 p.m. before returning to competition with a home-and-away set with St. Martin's April 9-10.
