BELLEVUE – Northwest dropped a pair of games to Bushnell to close out the season, 5-4, in eight innings, and 4-1.

After the game, the Eagles honored seniors
Sammi Caron and
Sam Parisio.

"I wish we could have sent our seniors off with a couple of wins, but they've got a lot of positive memories of Northwest and the team," said NU Head Coach
Pam Fink. "Those two have meant a lot to our team and to me, personally."

NU scored all four of its runs in the opener in the first inning. Caron and
Kayla Stanley opened with singles. Caron scored on a base hit by
Alyssa Maldonado.
Jessica Nunes followed up with an RBI groundout.
Ashley Oswald and
Palena Gomes drew bases-loaded walks to make it 4-1.

Bushnell scored twice in the sixth when Anabel Mendez had an RBI triple before scoring on a single by Lilly Bauer. The Beacons tied the game in the top of the seventh and took the lead in the eighth on a Faith Wayman home run.

Northwest had five hits. Stanley had two while Caron, Maldonado, and
Nicola Fish added one each.

Sam Silver pitched 7.1 innings of one-hit relief for the win.
Becca Rennick absorbed the loss despite going all eight innings and logging four strikeouts.

BU got all he runs it needed in the first inning of the second game – a three-run home run by Mendez.

Sydney Mauer singled and eventually scored on a wild pitch for NU's lone run, coming in the seventh inning.

Northwest had five hits, led by
Deanna Johnson with a double and single. Maurer, Caron, and
Jordan Dippel all singled.

Leslie Reynaga pitched five shutout innings to get the win.
Abby Brake went the distance for the Eagles.
