Owls Sweep Eagles

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Northwest struggled to a .076 attack percentage and lost in three 25-18 sets at Oregon Tech Saturday.

"This game usually comes down to serving and passing, and Oregon Tech was simply better than we were in both phases and dominated the match as a result," said NU Head Coach Steven Bain. "Even in defeat, though, there are lessons to be learned, so we will take a hard look at the last two contests and continue to focus on identifying the changes we must make to keep us on a path to improvement."

Abigail Broussard led the Eagles with 12 kills, and Megan Horne added eight. Anna Saelens had 22 assists.

Defensively, the Eagles had seven blocks, led by Broussard with three and Azaria Johnson with two. Saelens had 10 digs, and Cristina Lorenz added eight.

Now 4-5 overall and 3-1 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action, the Eagles hit the road again next weekend, visiting Lewis-Clark State on Friday and Walla Walla on Saturday.
