EUGENE, Ore. – Bushnell shot 50 percent or better for three quarters and carried off a 68-47 win over Northwest on Sunday.
Â
The Eagles came out firing and led 19-17 at the end of the first quarter behind a nine-point effort by
Livi Lindsey. The Beacons fired back in the second quarter, shooting 61.5 percent, and took a 40-28 lead into halftime.
Â
"A tough loss," said NU Head Coach
Ken Crawford. "I was disappointed in both our mental and physical toughness today. We had lots of opportunities that we did not take advantage of. We're going to take a couple of days off, get into the next semester, regroup, and then be ready to play going into next weekend."
Â
Lindsey led the Eagles with 16 points and added three steals.
Sam VanLoo added eight points,
Grace Meza had five steals, and
Andie Kristinat had a team-leading six rebounds.
Â
Now 11-5 overall and 5-4 in Cascade Collegiate Conference games, NU hosts Eastern Oregon on Friday and the College of Idaho on Saturday.
