LA GRANDE, Ore. – Northwest saw its men's soccer season draw to a close with a 2-0 loss at Eastern Oregon on Saturday.

After a scoreless first half, Eastern took a 1-0 lead on a Carlos Murillo goal 45 seconds into the second half. Emilio Leal added the insurance goal in the 57
th minute.

"I'm proud of how we competed today," said NU Head Coach Gary McIntosh. "The guys left everything on the field and the seniors lead the way today. I cannot say enough about the seniors. They are incredible individuals that gave me everything they had for the last six years. It was a pleasure coaching the seniors and this team."

Northwest launched 14 shots in the game and three shots on goal.
Jacen Stein had five shots and
Jack Eberl and
Frederik Marten added two each. Stein had two shots on goal and
Ryota Uchikoshi tested the EOU keeper once.

Alexander Thiehofe had three saves in goal for the Eagles.

NU ends its season at 6-9-2 overall and 4-7-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
