KIRKLAND – Northwest lost its final preseason tune-up on Thursday, falling to Gary Payton's Lincoln University, 79-65.
Drew Bryson connected on three three-pointers and led the Eagles with 15 points. Luke Howard added 12, and AJ Chappell came off the bench to score 10.
NU had a rough night from the field, shooting 26.6 percent overall and just under 20 percent from three-point range.
Djordje Mitrovic led the Eagles with seven rebounds and three blocked shots. CaCoa Chatman had five assists.
The Oaklanders were led by Goodnews Kpegeol with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
NU opens the season Friday with a visit from Capilano. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. in Kristi Brodin Pavilion.
