LA GRANDE, Ore. – Northwest saw its volleyball season come to a close on Saturday, falling in three sets to top-ranked Eastern Oregon, 25-21, 25-19, 25-19.

"Our ladies played hard but we congratulate Eastern Oregon on the conference championship," said NU Head Coach Steven Bain. "They have a terrific team and we wish them well as they advance to the National Tournament."

The Eagles finish the season at 15-15 overall and 11-11 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. This was the final match for seniors
Kelsey Moore and
Alison Compton, as well as graduate students
Anna Saelens and
Abigail Broussard, who finished her career with 1,016 kills.

"It is hard to say goodbye to our graduates," Bain said. "Anna, Abi, Kelsey, and Ali invested themselves fully in the program and they will be missed."

Broussard led NU with 16 kills and
Kaitlyn Mickle added nine for the Eagles on Saturday. Saelens had 32 assists for the match.

Moore had eight digs to bring her season total to 601 and making her just the second Eagle to reach the 600-dig plateau.

Broussard led the Eagles with four blocks.
