SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The Eagles ended their season today with a split at Bushnell, falling 7-3 and later winning 8-3 in the second game.

Northwest was first to come out swinging, scoring once in the first after
Madisyn Leffle was brought across the plate by
Jordan Dippel's double to left-center. Bushnell was quick to return the favor by scoring in a run of their own through an RBI.

Bushnell continued to apply pressure by packing on five runs throughout the second and third inning, taking the lead 6-1 in the fourth.

NU started to rally back in the fifth after
Sydney Maurer hit a single to center field. Maurer and later Leffle crossed home plate after both
Emily Barry and
Alyssa Maldonado were walked on a loaded bases situation, bringing the score 6-3.

Bushnell added on a run in the fifth after hitting a solo home run, though this was the final run they scored.

Becca Rennick took the loss in the circle today and ended the season with an ERA of 5.33. Dippel led the day in hits, hitting in three of her four at-bats.

The Eagles came out firing by taking the lead 1-0 in the first after Dippel tripled and later scored on an error.

Northwest continued to apply pressure. In the third inning,
Kayla Stanley doubled down the left-field line and scored on
Nicola Fish's single. In the fourth, they packed on another run by advancing the score 3-0 after Maurer hit a double to left field and later scored on an error.

Bushnell responded with a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth, closing the gap 3-2.

Despite the close score, NU battled and packed on five runs in the fifth. Dippel walked and later scored after
Jessica Nunes was hit by a pitch on a loaded bases situation. Maldonado also crossed the plate when
Sam Parisio was walked on full bases. Fish then scored on
Ashley Carter's RBI to center, and Nunes followed in suit after Mauer's double to left-center. Parisio, who scored on an error, was the final run of the rally.

Bushnell's third run was scored in the seventh inning after stealing home.

Maurer picked up the win on the mound and ended the season with an ERA of 4.27.

Both Maurer and Dippel led the game in hits, going 2-3 with their at-bats.
