NEWBERG, Ore. – Northwest scored a 3-0 win at George Fox on Monday, improving to 2-0 for the first time since 2016.
 
"We came up against a tough and well-disciplined team today and had to work hard to break them down," said NU Head Coach Bryan Chud. "The three goals we scored were products of a lot of hard work during the first 50 minutes, and all three were great team goals. Our defense was really well-organized and Hanne did a great job of controlling her box as well."
 
Sarah Hansen put the Eagles on top with the game-winner, using an assist from Liz Moretti and Kayla Soderstrom.
 
Anna Lau gave NU the 2-0 lead with assists from Trinity Mischel and Rachel Russell.
 
Moretti tacked on the third goal, getting help from Maya Lewis and Soderstrom.
 
Hanne Breur turned in her second shutout in as many appearances.
 
The Eagles host a scrimmage against Bellevue College at 2 p.m. on Saturday before taking on Soka and Jamestown in two weeks.
