EUGENE, Ore. – Three Eagles scored in double figures but Northwest couldn't overcome a field goal drought in the second half, falling at Bushnell, 83-73.
Â
Drew Bryson scored 19 points while
CaCoa Chatman and
Lewis Pope added 11 each.
Isaiah Williams added eight points, eight rebounds and two steals. Pope and Chatman had four assists each.
Â
AJ Chappell scored with 11:07 to play in the game, giving NU a 66-61 lead, but the Eagles didn't get another field goal for 10 minutes. NU was out-rebounded 38-23 and faced a disadvantage at the free throw line where the Eagles were 12-17 while Bushnell was 24-26.
Â
"We just can't find a way to get over the hump," said NU Head Coach Rick Skeen. "We shot a higher percentage.  Had only nine turnovers.  We got beat up on the backboards again. Backboards and the free throw line were the difference tonight.  Frustrating as we are competing with everyone but can find a win."

The Eagles finish their four-game road trip with a 5 p.m. contest at Corban in Salem on Saturday.
