NU was unable to connect for tying goal in the first half of play.
Life University extended its lead with three more goals in the first three minutes of second half play.
The Runnings Eagles deepened the wound with a fifth goal in the 63rd minute.
Grace Burke and Halley Marschall created a few opportunities for the Eagles, each collecting two shots of goal. NU totaled seven shots on goal to Life University's 10.
"This was a great season for so many reasons," says Head Coach April VanAssche. "I am very proud of each of these players on how they grew on and off the field this season. They played hard all the way to the end tonight in a tough game. Not the way we had hoped to finish, however, they played with heart and stayed strong together. They are one of the most fun teams I have coached! We will miss these amazing seniors and will be praying for them with all that is ahead. God is good and we are so grateful for such an amazing season. Big thanks to all the support from our families, friends the and Northwest University community."
The women wrap up the 2023 season 7-3-2 in conference and 11-7-3 overall.
