Eagles Fall in Portland

PORTLAND – Northwest fought hard in the second half, scoring 49 points, but couldn't overcome a 15-point first-half deficit in a 93-81 loss at Warner Pacific on Saturday.

Drew Bryson led the Eagles with 20 points, Isaiah Williams added 14 points and nine rebounds, and CaCoa Chatman and Isaiah Dunn added 10 points each in the loss.

Chatman added four assists and four steals.

"Our guys fought a very good Warner Pac team tonight," said NU Head Coach Rick Skeen. "We struggled to stop them in the half court. We turned the ball over too much tonight, and that led to some transition threes. I was pleased with our effort, but we have to execute for 40 minutes to beat a team like that."

The Eagles head home to finish off the season against the College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon next weekend.
