KIRKLAND – Northwest said goodbye to its seniors and ended its season on Saturday with an 81-65 setback at the hands of Eastern Oregon.

Seniors recognized were
Maya DuChesne,
Maria Arroyo Sanchez and
Morgan Marshall.

The Eagles came out strong with 22 points in the first quarter but the Mountaineers bounced back in the second quarter and led 34-31 at the half. EOU gradually pulled away in the second half.

"An exciting game and an exciting way to end up the season," said NU Head Coach
Ken Crawford. "Like five games in one. The lead kept going back and forth. EOU is a very talented team and will do well in the upcoming playoffs."

Kylie Lunday led the Eagles with 15 points and four rebounds with DuChesne adding 12 points and eight assists.
Esther Pappuleas came off the bench for 11 points and Marshall added 10.

Sailor Liefke led Eastern with 23 points and Beverly Slater registered a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Halle Wright came off of the bench for 17 points and seven assists and Shaelie Burgess added 12 points.
