KIRKLAND – Northwest got 21 points from
Maya DuChesne and 16 from
Kyrin Baklund in a 74-64 loss to Southern Oregon on Friday.
The Eagles trailed by 20 points going into the final quarter and were able to get within nine points.
Kylie Lunday had eight points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots, and
Morgan Marshall added eight points and six assists.
Kami Walk led the Raiders with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Emma Schmerbach and Kalei Iwami had 13 points each, and Briana Phiakhamngon came up with 10.
"Tough game tonight," said NU Head Coach
Ken Crawford. "Played well in stretches. I like the confidence that we're starting to show. We just need to continue to develop that consistency."
The Eagles return to action Saturday, hosting Oregon Tech at 3 p.m.
"Big game versus OIT on Saturday and then Tuesday against Evergreen State," Crawford said. "It's winding down, and every game means something!"
