LA GRANDE, Ore. – Northwest found a little more offense but couldn't get in the win column on Saturday as No. 25 Eastern Oregon claimed two victories, 11-5 and 8-5.

After falling behind early in the opener, Northwest tied the game at 3-3 in the second inning on RBI singles by
Olivia Brown and
Chloe Van Boekhout and an RBI fielder's choice by
Bella King.

Cedella Ritchie and
Jamelah Lewis added sacrifice flies in the third and fifth innings.

The Eagles had 11 hits, led by
Sydney Maurer,
Abby Blahut and Van Boekhout with two each. Â

Natalie Dimitrov (9-9) took the pitching loss.

Northwest tied the second game at 2-2 in the third inning on a two-run home run by King.

EOU scored six in the third to take command.

The Eagles scored three runs in the fifth inning on an RBI single by
Paige Creasey and a two-run single by Maurer.

NU had 10 hits in the contest, led by
Kayla Stanley, Creasey and King with two apiece.

Northwest returns to Washington for its final home series – a four-game set with Providence – beginning with a 4 p.m. doubleheader on Friday.
