CALDWELL, ID - The Eagles faced number three-ranked College of Idaho to start a tough road trip, 108-70.
Northwest knew it would face a challenging opponent, as the College of Idaho claims the top spot in the CCC and is ranked third in the latest NAIA coaches' poll. While the Yotes jumped out to an early lead, Northwest was able to keep them within striking distance and tie the game halfway through the first half. College of Idaho then found some momentum and began to pull away, leading by 23 going into half.
The Yotes continued to dominate the second half while the Eagles tried to stay in the game. Northwest continued to score but ultimately fell to the Yotes.
O'Shae Barquet led the Eagles with 12 points, while
Lewis Pope was not far behind with 11.
Northwest will take on Eastern Oregon tomorrow at 5 p.m.
