SALEM, OR - A second half surge fell short for the Eagles as Corban stayed just ahead to finish out the night, 97-88.
The Warriors jumped out to an early lead which left the Eagles playing catch-up for most of the night. Despite finding a shooting rhythm late in the first half, Northwest found themselves down by double digits with 20 minutes left to play.
As the Eagles wrestled their way back into the game, the Warriors stayed one step ahead. With nine minutes remaining, Northwest cut the lead down to two. However, Corban started on a 16-7 run which propelled them to victory.
Northwest saw four students post double digits tonight.
Luke Howard led the way with 19 points followed by
Lewis Pope with 17,
O'Shae Barquet with 11, and
Caleb Whalen with 10.
Northwest heads to Eugene to take on Bushnell tomorrow evening at 5 p.m.
