PORTLAND, OR - The Northwest Univeristy men's soccer team had a very dominant game today against Multnomah, only to end up in a tie 1-1.
Northwest outshot Multnomah 13-8 for the game. Nine of those shots came in the second half. At halftime, the score was even at zeros.
In the second half, Multnomah scored first off of a penalty kick. Then Northwest was able to tie the game when Caleb Corpuz tucked in a ball that came across from Matt Ludlow in front of the net. Northwest dominated the last 20 minutes of play but could not find the game winner. This was a highly contested game with Multnomah having 14 fouls.
Michael Kot had a solid performance in goal, making one save.
Coach McIntosh said, "I was pleased with how we played today. We were unfortunate to not find a second goal in the game, as we dominated most of the play and created several good scoring opportunities. We continue to get better every game and create opportunities. Eventually, they're going to start going in the net."
