Medford, OR - The Northwest women's soccer team fought hard against Oregon Tech in the playoffs but fell short in the second half, 2-1, ending the season. 

The seventh-seed Eagles faced off against last week's opponent in the Owls, who came into the playoffs as the second seed. 

The Eagles were able to set the tone of the game in the sixth minute with a goal from Charly Scherbarth, with Kennedy Leach and McKenna Ramoso there for the assist. After the goal, the Owls responded ferociously with offensive pressure with 12 shots in the first half. 

The Eagles were able to keep the Owls at bay for the rest of the first half, but the Owls were able to break through in the 54th minute with a goal from Shalynai Naputi. The Owls then took the lead in the 60th minute with Kiana Johnson, which was just enough for the Owls to move on in the playoffs.
