Butte, MT - The Northwest women's basketball team was given a hard loss against Montana Tech with a final score of 86-40.
The Eagles simply couldn't get it going against a strong Orediggers team. Even with that, the Eagles' best offensive quarter came out of the first, scoring 26.67% of their field goals and going two for ten in three-pointers. Despite the Eagles' best efforts throughout the game, they could not keep up.
The Orediggers were more clinical and stymied the Eagles' offense at every turn in the second quarter, only allowing the Eagles to score nine points in the second quarter. The Orediggers were able to net 11 of 22 of their shots and shot for 33% of their three-pointers.
The Eagles had a better time on defense in the third quarter, preventing the Orediggers from hitting 20 points. The Eagles' defense was also able to slow down the Orediggers' shots outside the three-point line, going one for seven. The Eagles then lost all steam in the fourth, only scoring eight points.
Kaleah Medeiros led the team once again in points with nine, and Ellie De Waard was right behind her with eight.
