NORTHWEST (3) VS WESTCLIFF (0)

The Eagles were dialed in at 10AM, taking the debut set of the 2024 season, 25-7. They went on to take the next two 25-11, and 25-17.

Azaria Johnson led the Eagles with nine kills and two blocks, followed by Delaney Sparks who added eight kills. Aubree Dees made a notable debut game as an Eagle with six kills. Kalli Budge totaled five blocks.

The Eagles totaled 15 aces as a team, Savannah Hale and Masa Spela Jarc collecting five a piece.

Head Coach Steve Bain says, "It was awesome to get on the court and compete against someone other than ourselves and even though we were in control against Westcliff, their tenacious defense forced us to play clean and with exception of the 3rd set, we were able to achieve our standards."

NORTHWEST (2) VS LIFE PACIFIC (3)

Northwest matched up against Life Pacific well going into five sets but ultimately falling 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 19-25, 12-15.

Sparks led the offense with nine kills followed by Jaelyn Moeva with eight in addition to her seven blocks.

Morgan Harter recorded her first double-double of the season with 19 assists and 12 digs. Kalli Budge collected a towering 10 of the Eagles 16 blocks.

Van Berkum led the back line with 27 digs.

Head Coach Steve Bain continues, "We played hard against Life Pacific as well, especially with our net defense. Unfortunately, they were better over the course of the match and we simply weren't able to score or make plays when the match was on the line. Every challenge though is an opportunity to grow and learn so we have to bounce back tomorrow against two more worthy  opponents."
