Mickle Reaches 1,000 Career Kills

KIRKLAND, Wash. - The Northwest University Eagles suffered a 0-3 defeat against the visiting, number one-ranked Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers on Friday. The Mounties, who remain perfect on the season, secured the victory in three sets (25-20, 25-17, 25-17). 

Eastern Oregon proved their top ranking as they hit .471 as a team on the night. The Mountaineers were led by offensive performances from Keira Vaughn with 12 kills and Kiauna Mack with 10 kills. EOU's offense was managed by setters Kate Stidham and Ava Semprimoznik, who tallied 17 and 18 assists, respectively.

For Northwest, outside hitter Kaitlyn Mickle led the charge offensively, contributing 10 kills for the Eagles. Mickle also reached a career milestone tonight, tallying her 1,000th career kill. Morgan Harter posted a team-high 18 assists. 

The Eagles host The College of Idaho in another ranked matchup tomorrow at 4:00 PM.
