The Eagles found their rhythm offensively in the second quarter, shooting 50% from the field, but Oregon Tech continued to score consistently and carried a 47–31 advantage into halftime.
Northwest showed great energy out of the break, outscoring the Owls 24–20 in the third quarter as their shots continued to fall. However, Oregon Tech regained control in the final period, outpacing the Eagles 28–15 to secure the 95–70 victory.
Kaleah Medeiros led Northwest in scoring with 13 points. Ellie DeWaard added 12 points and five rebounds, while Griffyn Eyman and Taimane Faleafine-AU each contributed 11 points. Taimane also grabbed seven rebounds, and Ella Whitaker led the team on the boards with nine rebounds while adding two points.
Coach Edens commented, "Really excited about our effort level today. The final score isn't indicative of the context of the game against #21 in the nation Oregon Tech. We got within 9 a few times early in the fourth with three straight possessions and clean looks that just didn't go down. OIT was fantastic in their execution and Tatum Schmerbach was amazing in the game finishing with a triple double."
Northwest will return home for its next matchup on December 13 at 2 p.m., hosting non-league opponent Pacific Lutheran University.
