KIRKLAND, Wash. – Northwest University secured its fifth conference win of the season with an 83-80 victory over Corban University on Saturday evening, capped by a clutch late three-pointer from Ethan Martin.
The Eagles started strong, shooting 55.9% from the field and 50% from three-point range in the first half to build a 47-30 lead. Christian Watkins set the tone early with consecutive layups and a three-pointer, giving Northwest an initial 7-2 advantage. Lucius Fox added a dunk, and Martin's first three of the night extended the lead to 37-23 with under four minutes remaining in the half.

Northwest relied on free-throw accuracy, making 87.5% for the game, and timely contributions from Andrew Iyamah and Logan Stempniak to hold off the Warriors. Martin's late-game three proved decisive, securing the Eagles' narrow win.
"Really gutty effort tonight by our guys," said Head Coach Rick Skeen. "It wasn't pretty, and we had to hang on for dear life, but we made just enough plays to do that. Excited for the guys. Hoping we can get healthier heading into next week!"
Top scorers for Northwest included Watkins with 18 points, eight assists, and four rebounds; Fox with 16 points and four rebounds; and Trent Williams with 15 points, five rebounds, and three steals.
