Northwest Climbs to No. 14 in NAIA Men's Cross Country Top 25 Poll

KIRKLAND, Wash. — Northwest University men's cross country moved up five spots to No. 14 in the latest NAIA Men's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 Rating, released Thursday, October 8.

The Eagles climbed from No. 19 to No. 14, earning 308 points in the second regular-season poll. Northwest's rise follows a strong performance at the Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem, Oregon, where the Eagles finished sixth overall and third among NAIA programs.

Led by Josiah Jaquith, who recorded a significant personal best, Northwest finished ahead of several nationally recognized programs, including No. 25 Eastern Oregon, No. 8 Corban, and teams receiving votes: Oregon Tech and Carroll College. The Eagles also established a new school record for team time.

Northwest is one of four Cascade Collegiate Conference programs ranked in the Top 25, joining No. 2 Southern Oregon, No. 4 College of Idaho, and No. 21 Eastern Oregon.

Cumberlands (Ky.) remained at No. 1 with all 19 first-place votes, followed by Southern Oregon and Indiana Wesleyan.

The Eagles return to competition Saturday, October 10, at the Emerald City Invitational in Seattle, Washington. The next NAIA Top 25 rating is scheduled for October 15.
