Northwest University Women Roll Past The Evergreen State College 81-51 on the Road

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Northwest University earned an 81-51 conference road win over Evergreen State on Tuesday evening at The CRC. The Eagles improved to 9-18 overall and 5-14 in Cascade Conference play.

Northwest led 13-8 after the first quarter and pushed the margin to 29-24 at halftime. The Eagles broke the game open in the second half, outscoring Evergreen 24-8 in the third quarter and 28-19 in the fourth to secure the 30-point victory.

The Eagles shot 41.9% from the field and 40% from three-point range. Northwest held Evergreen to 15-of-67 shooting and just 3-of-23 from beyond the arc. Northwest also finished with a 51 rebounding edge (33 defensive, 18 offensive) and recorded 19 assists on 31 made field goals.

Kaleah Medeiros led all scorers with 28 points, including four-of-five from three-point range. She also added six rebounds and two assists. Ella Whitaker recorded a double-double with 15 points and a team-high 10 rebounds, shooting 6-of-12 from the field and 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.

Hailey Monte finished with 12 points, connecting on 3-of-5 from three-point range and a perfect 3-of-3 at the free throw line. Ellie DeWaard contributed seven rebounds and four assists, while Jersey McGehee and Ellie Bost combined for 14 points in the starting lineup to round out the Eagles' balanced effort.

Northwest's 24-point third quarter created separation, and the Eagles maintained control down the stretch to close out the win.

The Eagles return to action this weekend at Warner Pacific University. Tipoff is at 3 PM PST.
