KIRKLAND, Wash. – Northwest University women's volleyball earned its second consecutive Cascade Collegiate Conference victory Friday night, sweeping Warner Pacific 3-0 at home. The Eagles won by set scores of 25-23, 25-21, and 25-15.
Northwest battled through a competitive opening set before finding its rhythm and pulling away in the final two sets. The Eagles improved to 6-11 overall and 2-6 in CCC play.
Jaelyn Moeva and Haylee Koetje led the Eagles with 11 kills apiece. Chloe Kennedy added eight kills, while Teagan Schroeder finished with four. Kennedy also contributed three blocks, and Moeva recorded three service aces.
Katelyn Bogetti paced the offense with 33 assists and added 11 digs. Northwest totaled 44 kills and hit .275 as a team, while holding Warner Pacific to 34 kills and a .139 hitting percentage.
After taking the first two sets, the Eagles continued to build momentum in the third, closing out the match with a 25-15 win.
"Warner Pacific was a good test for us after Wednesday's win, and at times, their energy and intensity were tough to match. After the first set, our ladies responded to several adjustments that allowed us to stabilize serve receive, and as our own serving picked up, we were able to close out the match," said Head Coach Steven Bain.
Northwest will return to action Friday, Oct. 2, traveling to Ashland, Oregon, to face Southern Oregon University. First serve is scheduled for 6 PM PST.
