Biography

Tomas Ogbaslassie, was a 6-5 junior transfer from Yakima Community College, had to sit out of school in 2013-14 season due to an ACL injury. He returned to the court for NU in the 2014-15 season and was the Eagles fourth leading scorer with a 9.8 ppg average and grabbed 4.5 rpg.

Tomas was born and spent most of his childhood in Eritrea. He attended, played and graduated from Chief Sealth High School in Seattle.

Coach Van Dyke said, “I look forward to coaching Tomas next season. It’s nice to be able to coach a guy from Seattle. We recruited him when he was in high school but it is great that he is here now. His length and defensive awareness will be important to our team’s success.”
