Biography
A transfer from the University of San Fancisco, Lily competed in four meets for the Dons as a freshman. turning in a season-best 5K time of 18:16 at the USF Invitational to open her collegiate career. She took 14th at the USF Invitational on Aug. 31 and helped USF to a sixth place team finish at the Stanford Invitational on Sept. 28, where ran the course in 22:47 to earn 28th. She also ran a season-best 6K of 21:25.3 at the Bronco Invitational on Oct. 19.
She was a four-year letter winner for cross country and track and field at Blanchet High in Seattle and placed third in the 800 meters with a personal best of 2:11.98 at the Washington State Track Meet as a senior. Lily placed fourth in the 4x400 meter relay and took sixth in the 1600 meters finished 14th individually at Washington Cross Country meet during her senior campaign. As a junior, she placed third in both the 1600 and 3200 meters at the WIAA state meet. Engelbrekt finished fourth in the 800 and seventh in the state in the 1600 as a sophomore and holds the Blanchet school record in the mile.
An outstanding student, she earned academic first honors seven semesters while at BBHS.
