Personal: Born in Bremerton, WA to Deanna Bacon. Current Major: Political Science

Why I chose NU: The opportunity to be a part of a new program and witness the creation of traditions is truly once in a lifetime. I was also drawn to the small size of the institution because it allows for lasting relationships to be formed with professors and classmates. Strong relationships and shared experiences are the foundation of a well rounded and fulfilling education. 

Northwest Softball: My teammates are my sisters. We play for each other, and win or lose we do it together. I grew up playing softball and it was always my dream to play at the collegiate level. Despite always playing on a team, I never knew what it meant to play for one. Northwest Softball has taught me how to play for someone and something other than myself. We all work hard to be better for each other every single day. We don't take days off, and we never give up on ourselves and more importantly each other. There is nothing like being an Eagle.
