Sam VanLoo joined the women's basketball coaching staff prior to the 2022-23 season after a stellar playing career with the Eagles. She earned first-team All-Cascade Collegiate Conference in her sophomore and senior seasons and was CCC Freshman of the Year in 2018-19. She was a three-time Academic All-Conference selection and a 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-District selection.

After graduating from NU in 2022 with a bachelor’s in Elementary Education, Sam currently channels her past basketball leadership skills into the kindergarten classroom at Mack Elementary in Bellevue.

Outside of work, Sam loves to hang out with friends and family and be active outdoors. Sam’s favorite activity of all is talking to her cattle out in the fields of Lynden where her family resides.
